Under their sheltering awning this faithful dispenser of thirst-quenching cool or throat warming hot flavors are colorful subjects on the subdued colors of the streetscape. The blinking lights are eye-catching, too. Thankfully there are no sounds to go with the lights, though. Nationally, somewhere many years ago I read of a measurable about of the national energy consumption goes to (outdoor) vending machines - keeping the cans and bottles cold or hot, according to the labeled buttons, rain or shine, night or day, winter or summer. And there once was a sojourner around the islands who was able to sweep stray coins from some of the machines to afford daily expenses! Watch out for the passing bicyclist at the end of the clip.
