Bastia Station
Bastia, the northern end of the metre-gauge Chemin de Fer de la Corse (Corsica), which runs the length of the island to Ajaccio, with a branch to Calvi. The timetable offered is not bad by French secondary line standards, and the scenic attributes are world class, but often unable to be enjoyed thanks to severe overcrowding and dirty windows. All trains are formed of modern DMUs usually of 2 cars only. There are no heritage or preservation operations.
