Southern on Northern Fells

Being more accustomed to the somewhat effeminate gradients between Waterloo and Southampton, 1927-built Southern Railway S15 4-6-0 No 828 working as hard as it probably ever has in its life, lifting 11 coaches southbound between Kirkby Stephen and Birkett Common with a southbound Cumbrian Mountain Express working. 7th May 1994.
