Auch Viaduct

K1 2-6-0 No 62005 brings the 'Jacobite' stock back from Fort William, en route to Carnforth (Lancs) after the summer season working on the Fort William-Mallaig line. The train (which was not carrying passengers) is crossing Horseshoe Viaduct, commonly called Auch Viaduct, above the tiny hamlet of the same name, on the West Highland Line's famous Horseshoe Curve between Bridge of Orchy and Upper Tyndrum. About 1000, Saturday 24th October 2015. The other two steam locos returned south later the same day, working an excursion for the Scottish Railway Preservation Society.
