As a lead organizer, I stayed in the office on Election Day, coordinating the efforts of our dozen-plus organizers out in the field and their volunteers. We wanted to knock on as many doors and make as many phone calls as humanly possible to make sure every last soul who ever thought about voting for Barack Obama got to the polls and voted. Our systems were a little old-school, as can be seen here, but it was pretty fun to be clamoring over one another while trying to reach the board.
