94: Life without UDS

So one immediate difference I've encountered with living in a house is the food situation. It's not there waiting for you all prepared and whatnot when you come to the kitchen. After four years in the dorms, that's a little weird.

I haven't gone grocery shopping yet, so I'm currently only eating the stuff my family brought up for me. During my first full day in the house, I made ramen for lunch and ordered pizza with my housemates for dinner. This was particularly amusing because I never made a single regular pack of ramen noodles while I was in college because I never had a stove. Now that I've graduated, I've become the starving college student I always wanted to be.

Today I had cereal for lunch (pilfered from Middlebrook on my way out) and a fellow housemate made me pasta for dinner as a reward for my yard work.

Speaking of, I have huge aspirations for the front and back yard at my house. They're not that big, but they've been neglected for quite some time and I'm planning to put my horticulture knowledge from a past summer job to work here. So far I've already made a lot of progress. I'll try to post some before/after pictures down the road.
