a clean, well-lighted place

Heather bought a hippie hat on Haight (alliteration!) and decided she needed a clove cigarette and coffee from the cafe in North Beach where Jack Kerouac and Allen Ginsberg used to hang out. Kind of a hippie tourist thing to do, but I guess Greeners on spring break are nothing if not hippie tourists.
