Sleeping Queen

The Castle of Pierrefonds was built in the XII century, and acquired by the King Philippe Auguste and much later by Napoleon the first. Ruined by several centuries of war, it was restaured from 1858 to 1885 by the famous architect Eugene Viollet-Le-Duc to its current splendor. It is now a very nice place to visit, with admirable art works.
