Another face has dropped off only to reveal the state of decay that it's starting to endure. It can't preserve itself forever in this way. The two of you are now circling each other like a pair of wild animals. Coiled and ready to strike. You're both falling to pieces. One physically. One mentally.
Whether one is worse off than the other only the victor will be able to decide that. This is no longer predator and prey. A many faced monster pursuing a delectably delicious dupe who was foolish enough to step into it's domain. An unwilling sacrifice to it's avarice when it comes to the body and soul of another.
Out of desperation, anger, a complete acceptance of the situation, you have brought out your own inner monster. The one thing that you hoped would not become of you is what might save you. Through teeth and claws and all the will you have left you may just beat it.
