Leica M1 with Cosina Voigtländer Color Skopar 21/4

The rare Leica M1 is an M2 with the ranging system removed. To this day, I have not been able to figure out why they made this camera.

I always use this camera with wide angle lenses even though then the FOV of the image extends below what I can see in the viewfinder. Zone focusing is accurate enough with focal lengths of 28 mm and below, so the shooting experiences becomes very zen. I can fully concentrate on the image composition.

Here I put a modern Cosina-made lens on. The lens is excellent, but it doesn't look right on that camera body, I also have the Elmarit-M 28, but there is some problem with it. I am looking for some preferably slow vintage wide angle Leica lens with a silver-coloured barrel.

I have created a Flickr group for photos shot with and of this rare camera: --> Click
