Agathla Peak on film (1998)
Agathla Peak or El Capitan (not to be confused with the cliff in Yosemite National Park) is an eroded volcanic plug, towering 450 metres above the surrounding landscape near US Hwy 163, just south of Monument Valley. It is similar to the more famous Shiprock in New Mexico, and only slightly smaller.
If you think the colours look weird, you are right. I never managed to shoot this scene as I remember it. There must be something with the light at that particular place that confuses the film emulsion. It always turns out like something lomographic.
Camera: Leica R4 (10064)
Lens: Leitz Summicron-R 50 mm
Circular Polarizing filter
Kodak Gold 100 consumer grade colour negative film
