The Pen-F cameras typically were purchased with the 38mm/f1.7 Zuiko. That lens is not very sharp wide open. It becomes OK when stopped down, but that is true for all lenses.
I think you are much better off with the E Zuiko Auto Macro, which also has a focal length of 38 mm. Granted, the Macro has a smaller aperture, but the 1.7 lens is not really usable wide open anyway. Conversely, the Macro delights at all apertures.
