U.S. Army Medical Department (AMEDD) College Tour – University of California, Berkeley
U.S. Army Capt. Pamela Cotton spoke to the Cal Pre-dental Society on April 20 discussing her unique overseas experience working as a dentist in both Korea and the Philippines, including a humanitarian mission. The discussion, with help from Staff Sgt. Samuel Navarrete, centered around the benefits of the Health Professions Scholarship program (HPSP), of which she is a recipient. The HPSP is a competitive scholarship that pays tuition and a stipend to those who are pursuing a health care career in the Army.
This presentation was a part of the U.S. Army Medical Department (AMEDD) College Tour, which is an opportunity for students to learn about medical-related opportunities and incentives offered by the Army.
