Oldham Corporation 101, Newhey
Oldham's bus number 101 was the first of ten of these rather smart Leyland PD3 'Titan' buses with bodies made by Oldham's usual supplier, Roe of Crossgates near Leeds. But only nine were taken over by SELNEC in 1969 - number 108 overturned and never ran in service again.
The location is Newhey, where buses still stop to this day. In these times you'd see Oldham's crimson or Rochdale's cream and blue buses here going back to their respective home towns.
