The ceramic Wari vessel has two spouts joined by a handle and the front (shown), is figured with a grinning skull face. The continued extension of the tan marking that originates between the skull's eyes is the only decoration on the reverse. The piece measures 5 11/16 x 7 x 4 15/16" in size and is dated 500-900. According to the Cleveland Museum of Art it is decorated in the Pachacamac style and can be seen in gallery 232. The work was acquired through the John L. Severance Fund. It is in the public domain.
