To the Quattro!

Assistant Chief Constable Garry Shewan and members of the GMP Pride Network - joined by GMP mascots - get into the Ashes to Ashes spirt with the original vehicle from the hit TV show.

Members of Greater Manchester Police’s Pride Network (formerly the GMP Lesbian and Gay Staff Affiliation) will again be taking part in the Manchester Pride Parade. Each year GMP walks as part of the Police with Pride contingent. Police with Pride is made up of police officers, friends and family from across the UK.

The parade will take place on Saturday 24 August. The theme for this year’s event is ‘Acceptable in the '80s?’

The GMP section will include a double decker bus along with the famous red Quattro that featured in police TV series Ashes to Ashes - in line with the '80s theme.

The Manchester Pride Festival is Manchester’s biggest annual event with over 200,000 people attending from around the world.

Have a great day at the Pride Parade and remember to save a cheer for the Police with Pride contingent.
