GMP Christmas Concert 2017

Last night, Monday 11 December 2017, saw the Greater Manchester Police Christmas Concert take place at Manchester Cathedral.

 

The evening was opened by the Dean of Manchester, the Very Reverend Rodgers Govender and closed with an address by Chief Constable Ian Hopkins.

 

The event was attended by Andy Burnham, Mayor of Greater Manchester and Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime, Baroness Beverley Hughes.

 

Also in attendance were Lord Mayor of Manchester and civic leaders from across the region.

 

The evening featured a selection of Christmas carols and songs – old and new – with music provided by the Greater Manchester Police Band with vocalists Rae Atkin and John-Phillip Bowen.

 

Musical guest included Parrs Wood Harmony School Choir, Heartbeat Chorus Ladies Choir and the Manchester String Quartet.
