Externsteine

The sun was out yesterday so we went on a bit of an explore and visited the quite dramatic Externsteine in the Teutoberger Wald of Ost-Westfalia. These stones have had spiritual/religious significance to the people of the region for centuries, going back to pre-Christian times, and have an interesting history - which may account for the random buskers including the Piper in the 5th image of this series.
