Launch of the Advocacy Toolkit for Youth

The Global Education First Initiative (GEFI) Secretariat and the Youth Advocacy Group (YAG) organized the New York Launch of the Advocacy Toolkit for Youth on 2 June 2014 at the United Nations. The event was a robust discussion about the release of the Youth Toolkit developed by Plan International, GEFI YAG and A World at School with support from UNICEF and UNGEI, about how youth can mobilize to achieve universal education. Following the panel, an interactive group session was led by GEFI YAG members. Panelists: Vibeke Jensen, Director of UNESCO New York Office and GEFI Secretariat; Ahmad Al-Hendawi, Special Envoy on Youth; Lori Heninger, Head of Advocacy Liaison office in New York, Plan International; Chernor Bah, Chair of the Youth Advocacy Group.
