WAIP 20th Anniversary Celebration

Nearly 100 people celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Glenn College's Washington Academic Internship Program (WAIP) at Busboys & Poets restaurant in Washington, D.C., last night (2/6/20). Sen. John Glenn envisioned a program where students attending The Ohio State University could live and learn in the nation’s capital and gain experience in public service. More than 900 Ohio State students have taken part in the program in the past 20 years. Speakes at the event included Herb Asher, professor emeritus and founding director of the John Glenn Institute for Public Service and Public Policy, and the dean of the John Glenn College of Public Affairs Trevor Brown. The event also raised $2,000 for WAIP scholarships.
