1:76 scale Stagecoach Strathtay model buses
As a keen enthusiast of their blue white and orange, I was really annoyed at Stagecoach for doing their usual of swooping in and annihilating what was Strathtay. In fairness to them, Stagecoach have kept the name Stagecoach Strathtay for vehicles operating in their former area, however seeing any buses with the name on the side is increasingly rare. But, these things happen and Yorkshire Traction willingly sold so... I’ve finally added to my Stagecoach Strathtay fleet. Whereas previously it was formed of only SP06EGK & MX55 KOW - both Code 2 (specifically commissioned) Creative Master Northcord models, it gains a further CMNL model in the MPD Dart which had its destination and Stagecoach Manchester lettering removed and replaced. A second MPD of Stagecoach West Scotland remains as it arrived and joins that fleet of models. UWW7X and DBV100W both Leyland Olympians join the fleet from S/coach Swindon & Ribble respectively. The MPD Dart is showing service 39 from Montrose to Dundee with the Olympians showing services 44 to Eliots Park (Caravan Site) in Arbroath, and service 20 from Kirriemuir town centre to Dundee’s Seagate Bus Station (registered legal address of Strathtay Scottish Omnibuses.
