Always, always check the surrounding area throughly before choosing a place to hide. Our failure to notice an elevated platform to our right led to the funniest moment of the day - as five more people crowded behind this corner, I said something along the lines of "this isn't safe with so many people here...", and took a couple steps back just as everyone else was shot.
