Dr PS Udayan started the session by telling the story of his life. He was born and brought up in a very poor family. He was very good at studies and completed his school education from a government school. He passed his pre degree with a second class.
During his session, he stressed that it was only hard work and his father’s motivation helped him to reach heights in life. His father was a forest guard and wanted him to take up Indian Forest Service but his passion was discovering plants and he decided to pursue his doctorate in Botany and dedicate the further years for research. After working for several years, now he spends his time teaching students at Sri Krishna College, Guruvayur.
