Muthukumar's magic fingers could turn any situation in the music through Tabla. Once he went to Disney land and got into the Roller coaster and during concert that followed, he turned his experience in the Roller coaster in to music through tabla.
He wanted to learn tabla from a very small age. While hearing ‘keerthanam’ it was always the tabla player who caught his attention. Being born in a very supportive family, there was no doubt in his mind about learning tabla.
“Whatever you do in life, the purpose is very important. Making money is not at all a purpose. Purpose should be something which will benefit the society. I think my purpose is to serve the society through music”, he reminded the children.
He was so much inspired by one of his Guru Zakir Hussain who once made a completely wheelchair bound kid who was listening to his music walk.
