Broken

At the fertility shrine in Bangkok, nestled among the phallic symbols, I found this broken figure of a girl on a toy horse. Made me wonder if it was broken on purpose or on accident. Did someone bring this hoping to become pregnant with a girl or did someone break it signifying they would want a baby boy???
