Aceh coastline

Communities living along this part of the Aceh coastline suffered greatly from the December 2004 tsunami. Much of the foliage was lost and three new rivers formed. I'm not sure but I believe the area on the right where there are no trees is a result of the tsunami. When I was in Aceh I saw a lot of stumps of palm trees that had washed ashore.
