My hard drive crashed. I have a huge amount of data that was not backed up. So go burn cd-s or dvd-s of your image files. Do it today.

I'll be exploring the world of data recovery.

My next plan is to have 2 hard drives and to write all the raw image data to both. When I have enough data, I'll burn a dvd. That will leave me with the data in 3 places.

Sigh

OH, and this pc has a celeron processor (I think). Jeeeeeez. (not the pc that had the hard drive crash, the one I'm trying to use afterwards. Point being, it's terribly frustrating to try to do anything with a pc right now, even surf the web)

Oh - and also, if you are doing a backup project - I don't worry about backing everything up. I just burn a cd or dvd of the digital 'negatives'. Backup whatever it is that comes off of the camera. You can always reprocess the photo. If you do digital art, though, you'd have to backup your final images, too.
