The Munch Box was built in the mid-1950s it is a protected historical building

This somewhat very modest "historical building" was designed by an architect. As such, it is protected from what would have been almost certain demolition when the shopping mall-not in the frame- but right behind it was built in the late 1980s.

What can be considered a small size "greasy spoon" dinner is categorized as an LA County 'landmark' with an official plate.

On a technical note, this shot is yet a sad reminder of how pedestrian digital photography is compared to film. A decade ago, I would have used something like my ContaxG1, Leica M6 or Nikon F loaded with Kodachrome 64 ASA or even 200 ASA.

Twenty five years ago, I would have used, yet a better stock which was the awesome Kodachrome 25 ASA discontinued before the other two. Why would a manufacturer like Kodak discontinue their best products? It seems suicidal to me.....
