Crediton Parish Church

The inside of the cathedral-like church in Crediton. Crediton had been chosen as the location for the cathedral for Devon and Cornwall in the 10th century. In mid 11th century the Devon see was moved to Exeter and Crediton lost that previous importance. The church was rebuilt through the centuries and changed to its current layout in the 15th century.

It's really fascinating to me to think of a time when Crediton was so important.
