Port Royal
My brother Isaiah and I got inspired by this piece of concept art for this duel scene which is the closing episode of a storyline Captain Braunsfeld and I did on Eurobricks. Unlike most of our collabs, we didn't divide this one down the middle but each built whatever we most wanted to build (or whatever the other one least wanted to build). So I did the tudor houses and the back docks and landscaping, while Isaiah did the front pier, the other houses, the fort, and the mountains.
Full LEGO scenes often are frustrating to photograph as it's almost impossible to get everything you want in one picture, and this one was no exception. The water is actually my least favorite part here, I wanted it to stretch behind the entire foreground (i.e. behind the crates) and I also wanted it to show the lights we ran along its edge which had a really neat effect IRL but don't show on camera at all.
I did have fun with the forced perspective, especially finding midi-size barrels and boxes and stuff!
The story (along with a bunch more action shots) is on EB and you might also enjoy the behind the scenes of this on my blog (it's quite a big MOC!).
