Mosque of Ibn Tulun - Fountain

Taken one afternoon just before they closed the mosque for the day. The light was wonderful! This is the oldest mosque in Cairo (in Africa, actually, as Hossam all line points out in his comment), having been built between 876 and 879 A.D. The fountain was built ca. 1296 by Sultan Husam el-Din Lagin.
