Denver Art Museum

If one is going to make a project of the art and architecture of Denver, it's pretty much a given that one has to shoot the Denver Art Museum, especially the Frederic C. Hamilton Building. Love it or hate it (and there usually isn't a lot of middle ground), it is one of the defining buildings of Denver.

Designed by Daniel Libeskind (for those of you who don't follow architects very closely, Libeskind is also the architect of the new One World Trade Center building, colloquially known as the Freedom Tower), there is no missing the harsh, jagged edges of the extension to the DAM.

Also in the foreground of this shot is one of the pieces of public art at the museum, For Jennifer, by Joel Shapiro.
