Sense of Scale

This shot should give you a little idea of just how HUGE the Harvard Glacier is. The rescue boat with the photographers on it is simply dwarfed. BTW, I'm not sure I'd want to be this close to the glacier in that little boat. Calvings can be as big as large skyscrapers. We didn't see any quite that big, but there were some large ones that were the size of medium sized office buildings.
