Deja vu all over again
Back then, almost 10 years ago, I thought I'd learned a lesson that would last the rest of my life. This was me, a couple weeks or so after a mishap in which I fell from the loft of the garage onto the floor, about a 7' drop. And getting smacked in the side by a piece of 2x6 on the way down. The main result was 8 fractured ribs. It took about 6 weeks to recover, which I understand is about par for the course. Now, a decade later, I find myself recovering again from similar injuries following a bicycling mishap which I still don't really understand the what, why or how of.
So, many of the nicer things of life have to be put on hold as I wait out the recovery. Yes, plenty of time to ponder ... AGAIN! WHY?
