Parking Lot Picture

It’s true. I took this picture from the parking area where the Bankhead Parkway turns into Fearn Street to head up to Monte Sano State Park. (The rest of Bankhead Parkway has been converted into a paved trail.) I’m not saying I can’t make a good picture in a parking lot, it’s just not my first choice for a location to look for a good picture.

For my money, this is as good as the Fall color has looked on Monte Sano. I’ve seen a better, individual tree here and there. But for overall color, I think it’s the best it’s been today, November 18th. And, as you can see, there is still a lot of green. The picture is straight out of the camera. No processing. I even left the color balance on “Daylight”. I did use a polarizer (as I always do with Fall color).
