turbidity lady bay7822

Minor level flooding of the Hopkins and Merri rivers either end of Lady Bay (Warrnambool) has increased the silt in the water carried by the rivers. The Hopkins often does not meet the ocean but the mouth is fully open. The sediment load is turning the rivers and the ocean near the shore a muddy brown. Breaking waves resemble liquid chocolate.
