Man up a Pole

For the past two days my telephone (and the internet with it) has been out of action, but today the wire to the house was replaced and everything is hunky dorey again.

 

For the first thirty-three years of my life I never felt the need for a telephone, but it's funny how you miss it when it isn't there.

 

The wire was only forty-eight years old.
