01 String Pods

I've made two string pods. The first was with nylon rope. The second uses steel cable.

The steel cable will not stretch, unlike the rope. It's stronger. And it's much prettier. The rope started fraying quickly.

I used 8' or 9' of 1/8" steel cable, which cost me $0.21/foot at Home Depot.

The thumbscrew is 1/2" long, 1/4" diameter, with 20 threads per inch.

The thumbscrews, nuts, and washers cost me less than $2.
