the swallows of autumn: there's a whole swathe of these developing year by year - the flowers look so delicate but this is one tough plant - it grows in deep shade (leaves emerge to enjoy the light when other leaves are down) and seeds itself freely - I.m plantig ferns and strange woodlanders in its little glade
