Stechford Station

Stechford Station 1963, the poor old station building that fronted onto Station Rd Stechford looks very scorched and battered. This was soon demolished and a new one built facing onto Frederick Road (the road with the Ford Consul parked) This building is a single storey brick building of mean design containing a very small booking office. On the main road is the large factory of Parkinson - Cowan that made gas appliances, this has gone and is now a retail park with fast food outlets. Vehicles of the period are a Morris 1000 Traveller, a Ford Cortina and the Consul, on the main road a Standard Eight, a Vauxhall Cresta and a cream Ford Popular, the scene is set off by a nearly new Revo Precinct street light.
