National Coal Board Number 8
Peter did some unusual things with his pictures. This picture was used in a Photographic club competition in a half frame mount (see next or previous picture) He titled it "Northumberland Memory". I thought it was a preservation shot but when taking it out of the mount it was found to be a full frame 35mm transparency.
Usually I present Peter's work as he left it but in this case I have presented the picture as he actually took it with the colliery scene. The picture of 0-6-2 number 8 was taken at Seaton Delavel Colliery, it is of Hawthorn Leslie 3439/1920.
Mt thanks to Porcy Main for the loco and present day location details.
