An old Ganesh idol
Ganesh idol that I saw in a small water 'tank' (like a concrete pond) that must be used for immersion of the idols at the end of the festival. What was curious was that this pond is in a very isolated part of 1300 acre agricultural campus (near my home) and I was checking it out because it had largely dried out and I thought there might be some interesting critters under the rocks etc (and there were). I was also surprised to find all the paraphernalia of a Ganesh tank, but then realised there was a Ganesh temple about a km away, still within the campus.
