Compact styrofoam cup

I found this cup sent down to 12,000 ft in the Atlantic. The markings say "Trieste II Scorpion Op, 12,000 ft, July 9, 1969". It was in a box in our attic.

 

I had two of these but one was apparently chewed up by some rodent to make its nest.
