National Commercial Bank (fmr), Cnr Szechuen and Peking Roads, Shanghai

Built: c.1915? Area: Former International Settlement

Having seen photographs of this building titled with Shamei Mansion Shanghai and Shanghai Trust Company, I'm not certain about its identity. However, an old Shanghai map leads me to believe that it may possibly have been the National Commercial Bank Building.

The National Commercial Bank (NCB) was founded by the Zhejiang Provincial Railway Company in 1907 at Hangzhou. A Shanghai branch was opened in 1908 and the headquarters moved to Shanghai in 1915.
