Bridge at Kedleston Hall
I went to Kedleston Hall last Friday to defer stir craziness. The National Trust had waived entrance fees to all its parks as a good will gesture in the face of Covid-19. Unfortunately, the little grey cells weren’t firing on all cylinders and I found I’d forgotten to take ND filters with me. The day was bright and sunny, which meant I couldn’t achieve long exposures to smooth the water, even at f22. The mental block further prevented me from thinking of layer stack mode to achieve the effect sans filter. Fear not, thought I, Kedleston is only 20 minutes from home; it’s free so I’ll go back next week. But as restrictions tighten the National Trust has shut all parks until further notice. No return visit, then. I did, however, have two shots taken at 1/50 second and these have been used in this image. Layer stack mode set to mean.
