Ancient Egyptian model servants in the foreground cutting the throat of a cow in order to butcher it for food for use in the afterlife.

 

Middle- Servants making and moving wine and oil jars that have been sealed with beeswax and clay.

 

Background- Servants on boats used to transport the deceased in the afterlife up and down the Nile to Abydos, the home of Osiris.

 

Made from wood, gesso, textile, and paint. From Sedment el-Gebel tomb 2105 and dating to the First Intermediate Period of Dynasties 9-10.
