I Sense a Theme - an Anti-Cuccinelli Theme

I tallied all the election literature I received for Virginia's gubernatorial election today (November 5, 2013). This is a picture of the literature I received - I sense a theme!

Number of election literature mailers I received: 28

That includes 1 letter each from Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton, both urging me to vote for the Democratic candidate (Terry McAuliffe). The one from Hillary only called me "friend," while the one from Michelle addressed me by first name.

2 of the mailers were from neutral parties, just telling me that I voted in 2012, and that they hope I will vote in the 2013 elections too.

1 was a letter from the Democratic party of Virginia, urging me to vote and including a sample ballot for the Democratic ticket (including all the local/downstream races, and to vote no on the local housing referendum).

1 was an ad for an Independent candidate.

1 was an ad for a Women's Workshop on how to get involved in politics with the Democrats leading up to the election (one of the first ones I got).

Of the remaining 20 mailings, 15 of them had only one theme - the Republican candidate, Ken Cuccinelli, is "extreme" and "way out there" - on women's issues in particular. I didn't get a single pro-Cuccinelli mailer.
