Proof of Concept

I've had the idea for a while to shoot the summit of Mauna Kea from the mountain behind JCMT. It's a fairly long hike (especially at night), but the angle includes everything on the summit.

 

I had a little time after sunset to take one photo, so I set this up. Subaru was scheduled to use their laser, but clearly they didn't. I will return to this spot later this summer and hope for clearer weather and more lasers...
