Young Lakes Sunset Pano 2
On the second evening of our backpacking trip to Young Lakes in Tuolumne Meadows, we hiked up the nearby ridge to shoot sunset. The sunset justified the scramble up the hillside! This is stitched from 6 vertical images, so it has a TON of detail. My tripod was very off-kilter for some of the images, and I had to keep my hand on it to keep it from tumbling into the abyss. That would have been bad.
On the left is Upper Young Lake, which was still frozen. Our tent is just barely visible in the large version of the image. In the center is Ragged Peak, and below it is the (thawed) Lower Young Lake. Middle Young Lake is hidden by the cliffs.
