Racetrack Playa Milky Way
This is a still frame taken from the timelapse that I filmed at Racetrack Playa in Death Valley. Unfortunately it was too windy for me to set up the dolly, so I ended up inverting the column on my heavy Manfrotto tripod and hanging the camera upside down so it would be lower to the ground.
1-minute exposure, ISO 6400, f/2.8. I attempted to set up my Rebel XT for a second timelapse, but because my other wide-angle lens is f/4 and the camera's highest ISO was 1600, my photos were at least 5 stops underexposed (read: almost entirely dark frames), and so were unusable. I ended up setting it up to do a 2.5-hour exposure of our tent.
